Campania

The Amalfi Coast is less frequently visited by Americans, who often only visit Rome, Florence & Venice. While these 3 cities are magical, the Amalfi Coast is not to be missed! It is a spectacular part of Italy (and of Europe!) with small villages clinging to the cliffs virtually spilling into the sea. Along the coastline are small fishing boats hidden in coves and spread out over the water. Driving the road along the coast is not for the faint of heart. The road has many twists and turns along steep drops to the sea offering beautiful views. There are many romantic villages to stop in along the way, including one that is world-renowned for its ceramics. As with other regions of Italy, it is hard to go wrong here!

"Our trip in 2002 was 16 days, but I know we saw and did more than we would have accomplished in a month had we done it without Megan. She knows the best locations with charming small hotels that provide a real Italian flavor that you won't get in the big box hotels. Her guides are charming as well - genuine locals who want to show off their sights and who also know the shortcuts to avoid long lines and really enjoy yourself." - Jeff Poland, Sept. 2006
