Liguria

While this may be one of Italy’s smallest regions, it is home to some of the countries most popular spots. Even if you have never been to Italy, you have likely seen the beautiful port of Portofino in a movie. Along this mostly coastal region are quaint, pebble strewn beaches, the busy seaport of Genova (birthplace of Christopher Columbus), as well as the well-known Cinque Terre (Five Lands) fishing villages. And if you are a fan of pesto, this is definitely the part of Italy to visit.

"We've learned the hard way that descriptions and photos on web sites don't always mesh with the real thing. Your choices, however, were top drawer and all the surprises were good ones. The selections you made and info provided were just what we needed to make this family vacation the trip of a lifetime! Our entire family enjoyed Italy to the fullest, in large measure thanks to your planning." - Bill Roccia, Oct. 2006
