Basilicata

This is a mountainous and dry region. Destinations in the area could be a visit Matera, a UNESCO World Heritage site, which is a city carved out of the rock (“tufa”), Metaponto home to an archaeological site with the Tavole Palatine temple, Maratea, a medieval town, now a popular seaside resort with crystal clear water, clean beach and many caves and grottoes for diving, along with other possibilities.

"Not only is she knowledgeable and does excellent research, one of the best things about Megan is she really listens. Now if we could just find the correct autostrada exit for Malpensa!" - Melinda and Gary Kramer, Aug. 2003
