Trentino-Alto Adige

This region is the least “Italian” of all of the regions of Italy with German as the most common language. It sits along the northeastern border of the country with Austria offering amazing vistas…ridges, snow-capped peaks, alpine meadows and waterfalls. Of course, along with the snow and mountains comes amazing skiing. The village of Cortina, where the Olympics were held in 1956, is a wonderful ski area and there are many other smaller, Alpine villages scattered that offer wonderful experiences…not only in skiing but also for hiking in the spring and fall.

"Early on as we were contemplating travel logistics, she was able to steer us in the right direction with regard to what to see, where to stay and how to get there. Additionally, because of her extensive travel in Italy, Megan was able to provide wonderful anecdotal information about the people and the country." - Betsy Rudden, Oct. 2002
