Umbria

Umbria is one of Italy's smallest regions, sitting in the shadow of its more famous neighbor, Tuscany. It is a very green area with beautiful hill towns of its own and an expanse of history. The many Umbrian hills and mountains cast shadows over river valleys lined with chestnut groves and elm forests. This landlocked region's medieval character takes you back to the mystery of the Dark Ages.

"The packet of information Megan provided just before our departure supplanted all my guidebooks because it was geared to our interests and us. Megan took all the pre-travel jitters away and we still felt like we were in charge of our own vacation." -- Claudia Little, Dec. 2001
