Umbria

Umbria is one of Italy's smallest regions, sitting in the shadow of its more famous neighbor, Tuscany. It is a very green area with beautiful hill towns of its own and an expanse of history. The many Umbrian hills and mountains cast shadows over river valleys lined with chestnut groves and elm forests. This landlocked region's medieval character takes you back to the mystery of the Dark Ages.

"Not only is she knowledgeable and does excellent research, one of the best things about Megan is she really listens. Megan suggested parts of the country and activities (Parma ham and cheese factory!) we would not have thought of on our own. The driving directions were extremely helpful, too. Now if we could just find the correct autostrada exit for Malpensa!" - Melinda and Gary Kramer, Aug. 2003
